About Teknomek

Teknomek serves and supports a wide range of hygiene-critical industries across the UK, Europe and beyond, from pharmaceutical companies and medical research to food processing, manufacturing and construction. They design, build and supply high-quality, hygienic furniture and equipment to help their customers manage risk and meet the strict compliance standards demanded of them by the industries in which they operate.

The team were keen to find an ERP system that could bring together every element of their business and integration with Microsoft 365 was key, as a number of Microsoft products were already part of their business’ product stack.

The Reason For Change

One of the key reasons for change for Teknomek was modernising their business systems, to keep up with the growing demands of their successful business. They found their old system was looking and feeling tired and they were ready to move to and take advantage of a fully cloud-based system.

Dynamics 365 Business Central offered them unrivalled integration with the Microsoft suite, such as Excel and Outlook, saving their teams ample time when it comes to tasks that would typically be repetitive and time-consuming.

As Business Central is a true cloud system, they can access their data anywhere, from any device. They no longer need to worry about their hosting options and can reduce their server costs in the long-run. Better still, their team have been able to move on to a modern system, which offers them market-leading financial and reporting capabilities.

Never one to fall behind when it comes to advancements in technology and capabilities, Teknomek can benefit from bi-annual Business Central updates which are automatically rolled out, so no more dated systems (now and in the future!) Plus, their data is held safely and securely on Microsoft’s Azure platform.

The highly configurable solution meant we could set the system up exactly as they needed in terms of business processes and needs, rather than adjusting the way they work to a system. That meant fewer manual processes and less systems in use.

The Future

With their new highly-configurable system, they have set the foundations for growth as they continue to expand their operations and services. The analytics and reporting in the system has given them insight into their business that they didn’t have previously, which means informed decision-making when it comes to their business.

The team now have the freedom to configure their system as and when they grow and with such powerful integartion capabilities, they can expand their current integrations with other Microsoft products for even smarter, faster ways of working.
