Additional Features & Apps

The basic functionality of Microsoft Teams provides you will all of the things you need to chat, voice call, video call, manage projects, manage departments, run webinars and loads more too! However, additional functionality can be added with Microsoft Teams. Although there are lots of options, these are some of our favourites.

Yammer/Communities

Yammer is basically an internal social media platform to help organisations communicate better with all of their employees. It allows for excellent collaboration for company announcements as well as reducing the need for company-wide emails and is now available as an app (called Communities) within Microsoft Teams.

Whiteboard

If you like to communicate visually, then the Whiteboard app for Microsoft Teams allows a virtual whiteboard to be added to meetings for people to draw out their ideas. This works great for home workers who would normally be sat in a meeting and scribbling all over a real-life whiteboard!
