What I do at The HBP Group

I mainly focus on new business with our customers, account manage some of our customers and act as a liaison between the customer and our internal departments. My job is to build that initial trust with our company and explain how we’re the right IT partner for them. My role includes understanding challenges and identifying and presenting ways to overcome these so the customer can use technology as an enabler for them.

What makes me good at my job

I’m a people person and I like talking things through. Having said that, I’ve spent many years listening to customers and gaining an understanding of what they both want and need from an IT system to help run their business and enable their staff to work efficiently.
 
I think the main reason for being good at my job is having a long technical background, so I can associate these areas into technology resolutions, but equally can translate that into plain language back to the customer, which I feel is important. I enjoy a technical challenge!

What I do outside of work

I’m a keen golfer, though family life has taken priority lately, with more time spent on days out and nurturing my son’s developing mind. I’m also an avid fan of Formula 1 and motorsports in general. Additionally, I take great pride in maintaining a perfectly striped lawn, which I find incredibly relaxing!
